WhatsApp adds Meta AI photo editing inside group chats

WhatsApp announced on its official X account (@WhatsApp) that you can now edit photos directly in a group chat using Meta AI — no need to switch apps or chats.

In-chat AI editing is a gift to small sellers. A reseller in a buying group can clean up a product photo, adjust it, and repost — inside the same conversation where the sale happens.

Group-based commerce keeps getting more native. Buying-and-selling communities already run on WhatsApp groups; every tool Meta moves into the chat shortens the distance from photo to payment.

For businesses running catalogs and broadcasts, polished visuals still convert best at scale — that's where template media and campaigns carry the load beyond one group.
