WhatsApp strengthens two-step verification with password support
Two-step verification just got stronger: WhatsApp now lets you add a password on top of your PIN — one more layer between attackers and your account.
ماذا حدث
WhatsApp updated two-step verification (2FA) so you can now add a password to the mix, giving your account one more layer of security.
Setup takes a minute: in WhatsApp go to Settings → Account → Two-step verification (the in-app shortcut is wa.me/settings/account/2fa). Full instructions are in the official WhatsApp Help Center.
ماذا يعني ذلك لعملك
Your WhatsApp number is a business asset — protect it like one. Account takeover means losing the number your customers trust, your groups, and your chat history in one stroke.
Do this today: enable two-step verification with the new password on every number your business uses, including the phones of staff who manage customer chats.
Security and continuity go together: businesses on the official WhatsApp Business API also get account health monitoring, so problems surface before messages fail.
